The Nonprofit Board Governance Certificate Program is a comprehensive, two-day training designed to strengthen board leadership and equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to support high-performing nonprofit organizations. Whether you are an executive director, a current board member, or someone interested in joining a nonprofit board, this program provides practical guidance on building, governing, and sustaining an effective board.
Participants will explore the core roles and responsibilities of nonprofit boards, including how to recruit and retain strong board members, implement governance best practices, and oversee organizational finances with confidence. The program also offers valuable networking opportunities, with enrollment including access to two Board x Nonprofit mixers each year, to connect nonprofits with prospective board members and strengthen the local nonprofit ecosystem.
