About Us

Our Story 

We launched as the Center for Nonprofit Business in July 2024. At the time, Nevada was one of only five states without a resource hub dedicated to supporting nonprofits statewide. We set out to change that.

From the beginning, our work has been grounded in what Nevada nonprofits actually need. Over the past two years, NvNc has provided professional development workshops and training programs, supported nonprofits through technical assistance, built resource libraries and service-provider networks, and established strategic partnerships to expand the resources available to our members.

We build our programming on direct feedback, not guesswork. In 2025, we surveyed 50 Northern Nevada nonprofit leaders and held focus groups with organizations across rural communities to understand where nonprofits needed the most support. That input continues to shape practical programming that's built around the gaps that hold nonprofits back and priced at rates nonprofits can afford. 

Connection and collaboration have also been central to our work. Our membership network, formerly the Nevada Nonprofit Network, brings nonprofits together to share and access resources, build relationships, and strengthen their collective voice. In 2026, we became an official affiliate of the National Council of Nonprofits, expanding the resources and benefits available to our members. We also finalized a partnership with CalNonprofits to give Nevada nonprofits access to nonprofit-specific insurance backed by the purchasing power of its 10,000-member network.

As our reach and role have grown, so has our vision. In summer 2026, we became the Nevada Nonprofit Center, reflecting our commitment to serving nonprofits across the state and our growing role as the hub for Nevada’s nonprofit sector.
