When the Nevada Nonprofit Center was founded in 2024, Nevada was one of only five states that lacked a resource hub dedicated to supporting nonprofits across the State. Well, we set out to change that. After a year of focus groups, interviews, and surveys with nonprofit leaders across the State, it was clear what we needed to do. We needed to connect our nonprofit sector, provide tools to elevate the professionals that run our nonprofits, and advocate to ensure proper resources are available to carry out our missions. And that is what we are doing.
NvNC now joins 47 other state nonprofit resource hubs in partnering with the National Council of Nonprofits to provide training, advocacy and other tools to nonprofits. In Nevada, we do this through our membership program, professional development courses, technical support, a resource library, and advocacy.
